Now That The Dark Ages Are Returning

Yesterday, November 6, 2018 is the newest day that will “live in infamy” in the upcoming decline of America. We as a people have taken a giant step backwards, most likely one that may eventually prove fatal.

We have made a choice to ignore self achievement, prosperity for all and have decided to return to the path of an all knowing, all seeing and all controlling central government. George Orwell and Ann Rand much more the seers of the future that Nostradamus in my humble opinion.

Open borders, unchecked immigration, gun control on steroids are just a few of the things that will most certainly gridlock our government for the next two years, if not come to pass.

Now, with control of the government purse, and rewarding the behaviors of those who smeared and tried to destroy Judge Kavanaugh, is it really a far step that every citizen will fall under the same microscope, start from a position of guilty and be challenged to prove their innocence? And one of the puppet-masters behind the scene only two heartbeats from being President. Stalin, Mao and Fidel, though dead, were most likely active voters in yesterdays election, and they are smiling. Only the Senate can hold the line to prevent a judiciary that will become more and more politicized, stop laws being written from the bench and activist judges hamstringing local, state and federal agencies. With newly elected “Republicans” like Mitt Romney do you believe the Senate will hold the line?

It will be a return to a smorgasbord selection of which laws to enforce and which to ignore, and they will change with the whims of the elites in Washington D.C.

As preppers, this is the walk-up call, this is the sign we have feared, that common sense and a sense of self responsibility will now be frowned upon, perhaps even made criminal. Now faced with the reality that what is ours may not be ours, but theirs to take in the name of fairness, diversity, reparations, or social justice. Just look at the winning margins in the Senate Races in Arizona, Texas and the governors race in Florida. Scary as hell.

At best it will be gridlock and a non-functioning government because the left would rather destroy than negotiate, would rather see Americas economy fail than prosper in order to spite the White House.

And then there is the violence, barely contained these past two years, what little power and restraint was there then may now be stripped away.

As preppers the reality of government overreach into every aspect of our lives is now at our doorstep.

It is going to take more than an afternoon to fathom this, it is going to take even longer now to discern fact from fiction with a complicit Fourth Estate unleashed. It is a time to talk of serious matters and their consequences and we will be doing that going forward, as long as we are allowed.

I have to work with these that seak a better tomorrow by taking mine. I have more so it must be taken though taxes,so that we all have the same. Many are over 65 and want me,us,to kick it up so they get all their money and Medicare. It is fear of old and broke that drives them and at the other end is the youg they’re not willing to pay for the party’s of the boomers. Guns are only used by crazy people so if you take and lock up guns and crazy people then they will be safe, the… Read more »

Why do you believe that the only good Prepper is a Republican? It’s the recent stuff Republicans have done to mess up our environment that could very well cause the SHTF. And not all Dems believe in unbridled gun control, just trying to keep guns from those who don’t respect guns-and-people. Mowing down people is not an answer. “They needed killing” is not an appropriate excuse. Defending yourself is a whole other ball of wax. I’m a lifelong Dem and a Prepper and I’m darned proud of it. Dont blame the Democratic politicians for everything that has gone wrong, blame… Read more »

I disagree with most of what democrats say about republicans. Republicans DO care about the environment, but the Paris Climate Accord is a bad plan. Wanting strong borders doesn’t make me racist or anti-immigrant. I lock my doors at night to protect those inside, not because I hate the people outside. Don’t block Trump from building the wall. Keep guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally unstable, but don’t limit my rights. Tell democrats such as Maxine Waters, Hillary Clinton, and Cory Booker to stop promoting violence against republicans. Stop giving democrats a free pass when they… Read more »

You are right, most all politicians have helped us into this mess. All Dems may not believe in unbridled gun control, but as far as I can tell, every Dem politician is in favor of it. And the sad thing is, very few of the laws passed provide any more control. The only thing a law can do is impact the law abiding. What can a law do about someone misusing a gun for something which is already illegal? Go ahead. Tell me a law which will have a significant effect on gun violence which will not have much more… Read more »

How about this scenario: Trump concentrated on the Senate and Governor races for a reason. He fired Sessions who did the set up and then brought in the hatchet man who no one saw coming. When the Demonrats start their push back then the indictments will be unsealed and many House Dems will be implicated in leaks…a felony. When these Dems are impeached who gets to appoint new Representatives? #The Governor!

Trump did NOT fire Sessions, Sessions resigned. There’s a difference between the two, or didn’t you know that? Sessions’ moniker’s “Stealthy Jeff” and he didn’t get it for nothing. Behind closed doors, both Trump and Sessions were on the same page and the media was totally clueless. It was the MSM that kept repeating the mantra of the two disagreeing with each other on a number of issues. It was the MSM that parroted out the lie that Sessions was fired when the truth is he was not. Trump saw that the Senate seat in Alabama was going to be… Read more »

Speaking as a moderate conservative; I always find the humor in the arguments between the hard left and hard right. It’s like the head of the beast trying to bite the tail, and the tail continually trying to hit the head. This is not to say that I am not passionate about most conservative values or that I won’t compromise on ‘some’ liberal beliefs. In fact, I believe in the idea of having more balance. So, I offer a much older premise: the dangers of a two party system. Who was it that warned us? John Adams? George Washington? James… Read more »

No politics in my prepping. My distrust of anyone in Washington is pretty much complete. We as a country have so many problems with so few solutions. All I know is that if you want my weapons, try and take them. You want to hurt my family, try. Take my homestead, again try. Don’t care who you are or your political belief system is.
A first step may to be to actually work for the people they represent. Next, maybe, just maybe work together. They are all doing us a disservice.

Just my opinion.

Bill –

I know it is a good way to vent, but keep politics out of prepping. In the end it does not meet our goals, but only divides us when we truly need to come together.

You lost me at “As preppers, this is the walk-up call”. Not that I’m a grammar nazi, but if you’re saying something important, it should be worth the effort to re-read it a few times before posting. This kind of thing discounts the message for those of us who pay attention and makes it much easier for our detractors to dismiss us.
